Saab XWD
#2
Saab makes a great car on paper... but
If you've ever driven one, you would be disapointed. The paper thin feel just screams cheap... Not to mention that Saab has european pricing and GM quailty... which is seldom a formula success.
Saab used to have a niche... but the steady stream of rebadged Subaru cars and Chevy trucks has ticked the loyalists, and the lack of quality kills the new buyers.
I fear this may be too little too late. So I guess you should just buy a BMW 335i like everyone else on the board. ;-)

Agree completely
That was exactly my impression when I compared the two in B2B test drives. I used to have a Saab '95 in the mid-nineties...Loved that car. Fast, powerful, although a bit too loud. The new ones pale in comparison.

Re: You are probably right
It's so sad now. They are the saftest cars, especially when you were hit from the back.
They don't really have European pricing because of several thousands of incentive. The 9-3 XWD is almost $10,000 cheaper than the 335i. It's quiet attractive. I have to test drive one to see if the Bimmer worth the extra money (probably).
