I have the slight rpm fluctuation issue, only when cold. Had the dealership do the firmware upgrade on the transmission and it help a lot. Much more comfortable driving when cold after that but still fluctuates and losing MPG until it heats up then works fine.

So would like to replace the torque converter at some point and would like to put in something better. Also going to be towing my small 16 foot open boat just a mile down the road a few times a year. So wanted a converter that will handle the excess torque from sporty driving from time to time and the extra weight of light towing.

Any experience or recommendations on a performance brand of a torque converter would be awesome.

also did not mention dealership did full diagnostic on the issue according to the TSB that is released regarding rpm fluctuation. They eliminated the other possibility including the extended warranty. =( Said it is definitely the converter in my case.
