Default Window goes back down

I was driving on the highway today at 70 mph with my sunroof all the way open and drivers window down. When I closed my drivers side window it went all the way up then about six inches down. I tried to close the window a couple of more times with the same result. I then opened the passenger window a little and successfully closed the drivers then passenger window. Is there some reason this would happen? I've had the car a couple of months and wasn't sure if this is something normal. I can't see why it would be though. Thanks for any insight.

Does it make any noises when it is rolling up? Crackling or creaking? Could be a regulator.

No, it makes no sound at all. It doesn't do it riding around town. I'm going to jump on the highway tomorrow and try to duplicate the incident. It might have just been a freak glitch.

Airflow might be making the window stick in it's slide when closing at speed. Could try a little bit of silicone spray in the window rail to reduce the friction.

Mine has done that a couple times, but typically when stopped. I usually find that I need to put it all the way down again, then it will go up.

If you used the one-touch option to roll it up, I believe you can reset the switch by rolling the window up and holding the switch in the up position for a few seconds.

I had the same issue 3 years ago and has not returned since then. Maybe just a fluke but worth a try.

I held it up for a few seconds but the window went back down. It only happened that one time. I'm am now having issues with my alarm acting funny and the dome lights stopped working. I'm taking it into the dealership tomorrow. It seems to be an electrical issues affecting different things.

I went to the dealership and problem was fixed. A module went bad that affected the alarm and dome lights. I haven't had the widow issue happen again so I'll assume it fixed that as well. It was covered under warranty along with my 35000 mile service.
