2009 A4 Production (or Sales) data?
I posted this question in another thread, but thought it might deserve its own topic discussion. Does anyone know where we can find published production figures for the 2009 model year A4? In particular, I'd love to see a breakdown of data showing how many built (in the world, or in North America) were:
- Avant vs. sedan
- Tip vs. Manual
- Quattro vs. Frontrak
- S-line, Prestige, P+, or P
- Colors
- etc.

I would think that only Audi knows such detailed data. Since September Audi has sold a little over 32,000 A4s based on the data Audi releases every month. The problem is that since last June Audi has combined A4 sedans and avants with the cabriolets in its reporting, previously they separated the convertibles. And they didn't separate B7 and B8. Still, I would have to say that almost 30,000 B8s have been sold in the US since it went on sale. Probably less than 5,000 of those are Avants. I remember Car and Driver saying Audi sold 3,800 Avants in 2003 in a Volvo article. So most likely about 3,000 Avants sold at most.
