I have a 2012 A4 on order that is scheduled to go on the boat to the USA at the end of the first week of October for delivery at the end of October.

I asked the dealer about the rear-view camera situation last week and he said that they've been telling customers that by January, cars ordered with the rear parking system will start being delivered with cameras instead of having to wait for them to subsequently arrive in stock.

He also said it might be a little earlier than that and that my car (S-line Plus, Prestige) may or may not arrive (at the end of october) with the rear view camera already installed at the factory.

I just picked up 2012 A4 p+ and the camera was installed. Dealer said it was one of the first ones he has seen that had it. I'm assuming yours should have it if its being shipped next month.

I picked my 2012 A4 p+ up two days ago (ordered from the factory in late June and delivered to port in San Diego a week ago) and it does NOT have the camera installed. Guess you got lucky!

My salesman told me it would probably be installed on my car in January, but I don't know that he knows what he's talking about it.

When I picked up my new 2012 A4 Prestige S-line plus on 13 October, it had the rear view camera installed. The dealer (Tracy Audi, Hyannis, MA) said that it was the first one they had received with the camera.

I picked up a 2012 A4 Prestige S-Line last friday ( Oct 21st ) and the camera is functional.

I also picked up my 2012 last Friday (10/21, ordered 7/24) and the camera is installed and working properly.
