Update:
It's been a while, but I realized I haven't updated my blog in a while. I finally finished my Custom CAI in a way that looks and sounds good. Originally with the stock intake pipe just attached to a new filter, the car squealed like a K&N setup so after hearing about Roc-Euro I reverse engineered the design and came up with my own setup. If anyone with a B8 or 8.5 I can get it made just don't expect a super quick turn around being in college time is a luxury I don't always have, but here are the pics of the heat shield and piping before paint I ended up going with a white paint to match the car and it came out really good I'll post some other pics later when I get a chance. Obviously, this is completed at a fraction of the cost of any other intake system and it is harder than I thought to find seals, but for now, this is where I am with it and will slowly be researching other places that might sell seal kits like the K&N and Roc-Euro systems have if anyone has info on where to get these I would appreciate it.
