Brand new 2012: TPMS messages already??

Audi must manufacture next to a nail factory. When I retired my Goodyear's at 53K, one had a German tire patch inside!
The only time I have seen the monitor go off, the tire was low. My new Goodyear's run nitrogen, so the chance of becoming low again is reduced.

did make sure you resent pressure in the mmi or whatever your car has theres a section in the manual. instead of the sales guy talk to service. but i would not wait much longer just so you can get them to replace it if they need to.

So I brought the car into Audi service, and they found a nail on the inside wall of my tire!! Holy crap!
Funny thing - I ended up getting that road hazard tire & wheel insurance (even though Audi hasn't charged me yet -gulp) so it's (in theory) covered!
Yeesh. Really? Is this how it's going to be? A rock hits my car in the first 30 seconds on the road and a nail in the tire in the first 200 miles?

I was dressing this morning, and a button came off my shirt. Picked up my coffee and the handle broke. I put a slice of bread in the toaster and pushed the button. A shower of sparks shot out. I'm afraid to go to the bathroom!
