Hey all,

Is it normal to hear "sizzling" after turning off the car when the A/C has been on? It sounds like condensation from the aircon is dripping onto something hot in the engine bay, which seems entirely plausible, except that I don't remember ever hearing it before today.

When I mentioned it to my wife just now, she said she noticed it a few days ago, too.

FYI this is a 2012 A4 Avant.

Um, that sounds ominous...can you be any more specific?

Sheesh, wasted trip. It was in fact just A/C condensation dripping onto something hot. They said it's very common to hear it in the A4.

I'll say. Everyone knows it's condensation....except Umisthisthingon.....zing! lol
