Can’t unlatch rear seat to fold down on 2010 A4 Pemium Plus
Driver’s side unlocks and folds down, burn. It the passenger side. The lock rotates as though it is unlocking, but he latch will not release. Any thoughts or tricks to get it to u latch?

Not sure what you mean by rotating. When you pull the latch to release the seat back, do you see the red post lift up?
Assuming the connection from the latch to the release is not broken, I'd probably just beat on forwards and backwards till it released.
If the connection is broken, I can't see what you could do short of breaking out the drills and saws.

Must be a sedan thing. There's no key tumbler on a wagon.
Got me then. There's two pages on the lock tumbler in the service manual, but removing the plastic trim that holds the tumbler is based on making sure the backrest is in the released position (red post popped up).
Could be the key is not releasing the latch, or the latch is stuck.
On the bottom of the tumbler is a tab, the tumbler rotates to move the tab towards the middle of the plastic trim to block the latch. It appears it's a 90 degree turn clockwise to unlock?
The tab appears physically part of the tumbler, so if it's turning, it should be out of the way. I'd try a few good whacks at the latch with a rubber mallet.
Could try the dealership to talk to a tech who works that part of the car to see if they know of known issues along these lines.

Yep. Probably a sedan thing. I think it’s part of the valet security—you can provide the key fob to a valet parker without the physical key and prevent access to the trunk area...
THANKS for checking your service manual! I may try the rubber mallet next...
