Do you...
- Use a programmed/saved number for your voicemail in your Directory?
- Use a programmed/saved number in your phone's Address Book/Contacts list?
- Dial manually using the MMI?
- Dial manually from your phone keypad?
- Some other shortcut?
I'm trying to determine the best approach, and the Audi's MMI Directory doesn't seem to permit special characters (to create a pause and then automatically enter in mailbox PIN/passkey, etc.). Or maybe it does and I haven't figured it out yet.

I just hold the 1 key on my iPhone and it automatically connects to my voicemail with no prompts to enter my password or anything. I also have my own number saved in the directory and it gives the same result.
Alex: Visual voicemail is not compatible, since it's merely an app and not designed to work with the car, or vice versa.

In the phone setup menu, I put my phone number in as "Mailbox number" and it does not prompt for a password. Same thing if I just hold down 1.

(voicemail#)"p"(password)
example: voicemail# = 1XXXYYYYYYY password =1234
set phone number to be: 1XXXYYYYYYYp1234
this way, no need to enter password everytime after press and hold "1" to access voicemail.

I have already programmed my phone to automatically enter my PIN after a few seconds when I press "1" from my phone. I'm trying to see if there is a way to do that from the car's MMI only (not touching the phone).
