I have a 2011 Audi A4. The EPC warning came on yesterday and it has very little power (maybe 40 mph). I had the codes pulled and have many tho some may be unrelated to the EPC issue:
P0301
P0011
P000A
P0341
P0070
P2789
P2015

it sounds like you went into "Limp in" or "Safe" mode. It protects the car for further damage by reducing power. It feels like it is going to stall but shouldn't. My car did that this week too. I have an '09 A4 3.2. From what I've read it could be as simple as a bad spark plug causing a misfire or much much worse. Mine went away when i restarted the car but I was due so I changed the air filter and plugs anyway. I'm left with some issue starting so my problem may be fuel-related but the light hasn't back (yet).
