How long do you warm your car up?

That vacuum sound should be audible regardless of whether you're in R or not. At least that's how mine is

The sound seems to go away after a certain amount of time when the RPMS drop down to 800 regardless of what gear I'm in.

Hmm, I'll try putting the car in D and seeing if it makes the same sound (with the foot on the break of course ). Any idea what the sound is?

I've owned several turbo charged vehicles and the most important thing to remember is not to work a turbo charged engine hard until it is up to running temp.

So rather than thinking about how long to wait before driving, which others have pointed out is not necessarily a concern, think about taking it easy until the engine is at normal running temperature.

I agree about taking it easy (warm 'em up and warm 'em down) but you should be concerned about how long you wait before you go. Even the manual says to drive away straight away to reduce wear due to lack of oil etc.
