I'm a fan of the 3.2 engine, but to be fair the current 2.0T is much improved over the version you had in your 2005 model. It's much closer to the 3.2 in performance (although not in sound and silky-smooth goodness ).

Agree, 2.0T is greatly improved now. But to also be fair both the B8 2.0T and 3.2 received a 10 hp bump from the B7 versions (200>211, and 255>265 respectively). 2.0T did a get a huge torque increase though.

I know the 3.2 is a sweet engine, but I'm happy with my 2.0. My last two Audis were sixes, and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would buy a car with a four banger. Compared to my 2002 3.0 car, my '09 2.0 feels much peppier, and the fuel economy is great. The car also weighs less than one with a six, making for better handling.

I could have afforded the 3.2 and was worried I would lose some "prestige" by going with the 2.0. Hell no. This car is fun to drive and every time I drive past a gas pump without having to stop to fill up makes me glad I made the right decision.

I didn't buy my car to race other people, but I do know that it takes more than horsepower to win many races. And, if I am ever so inclined, I know that improved performance is just a chip and exhaust system away.
