Default OEM Audio/MOST

Hi all,

Two quick questions:

I have a 2014 A4 without the B&O system - do I still have MOST, and if so would a MoBridge allow me to fully remove my factory amp and lose no functionality?

Second, I gather the holes in my doors are 8" holes. Is there an adapter to let me mount a 6 1/2" speaker in the door?

Thanks!
RA

Don't know about 2014, but in the previous years the MOST was tied to the MMI on the Prestige trim. B&O in lower trims without navigation came with no MOST.

Oh, I guess I should note that I DO have Nav, Premium Plus trim. What will the MOST connector look like?

I haven't seen one on these cars, but I'd think that if you unplug the cable from the amp unit in the trunk you will be able to tell if some of the pins are not really pins, but optical conduits, the way you can tell that for optical digital in home audio/video equipment.

The optical connector isn't part of the main electrical connector that attaches to the amp. It's a separate smaller black connector with two approx. 1/4" round corrugated conduits. So I guess there's two-way optical communication. At least that's how it is in my '11 MMI/NAV/B&O.

EDIT: found this in a google search, that's not what my amp looks like, but it's what the cable looks like:

Yup - it's there. The audio installer I'm going through still wants to use an LC7i though. It's certainly cheaper than a mobridge.
