I've read the other thread about discounts but I'd like to here from anyone with custom order experience:

What discount off MSRP did you get?

The dealership I met with said they can't be as flexible on price for a custom order. We ran out of time before negotiating specific prices though.

Shoot for at least 6% off MSRP and there are a few ways to get that discount if you aren't able to negotiate it by yourself. If they don't budge, bring in a competing dealer

I custom ordered last week of December. got 11% off plus Audi loyalty(750$). I am in california so i guess it is a better discount than other states. also i had started negotiating for a car which was on the lot and dealer still honored the discount when i went ahead with custom order.

In Texas, I got about 9.25% off MSRP. I had shared with them a quote from another dealer and price from True Car. Salesmen initially told me $4k off of custom order, but he eventually gave more when I showed emailed him the quote and true car average price.....which according to True Car, was an exceptional price......
