You need either VCP and upload the parameters yourself or the Kufatec dongle that does the parameters and coding as a single step.

kufatec makes a dongle that plug it once, then the function will work. It does cost 100+ though, and its good for that specific car once it was activated

question. I coded everything as in the description but in mmi in car-> driver's assistant. I don't see the vza option: / what could be wrong?

I came to the conclusion, that since it's it's only available on a 2021-A5 when it's built as Prestige-trim ... it must be an additional hardware module. Either to hold the proprietary-code, to protect like licensing/authorization dongle, or possibly even additional processing horsepower.

This is also based on the reported fact that some owners subscribed to the full Audi NAV (via Function on Demand) and Traffic-Sign-Recognition still did not become available.

If I do not turn on this adaptation in the 5F, I see in the driver assistant as grayed out. which is quite strange, because when I attach them I have nothing

I have TSR working in my A4 B9, below are A5 details
A5 Driver Assistance
System description: BVS

But it only reads the traffic signs with red circle nothing else ..
I also don't have "Show valid additional characters" adaptation in my A5 unit..
Can this be enabled or unmasked so that i can select it and try if it read other signs too.

I am having issues as am in a non approved country where we get the message "function restricted see owners manual". This is all good as the signs display and change well on the VC before getting this message. But once this message appears, the speed sign then freezes on the VC and will not change any more. The speed sign on the HUD continues to change fine as it should. This appears to be specific to this hardware (HW 8W5920790E - H19 - FW 0417). Obviously the camera has been flashed with VCP as it works and displays on the VC and HUD. I have used this coding on a few MLB cars and they all work well, but when digging deeper into it, they all use firmware 03xx.
I am convinced there is something up with 04xx firmware not allowing it to function correctly. Has anyone else experienced issues with firmware 0417 on the VC and their signs freezing.
