AudiCare Select question
I'm looking at a 2017 A4 with a little over 20,000 miles on a non-Audi lot. It had an Audi dealer perform its 10,000 service but the non-Audi dealer did its 20,000 service. I know AudiCare won't cover work done by non-Audi shops, but is there any reason I couldn't buy an AudiCare plan for the 30,000 servicing and beyond?

Technically, there is no reason you couldn't buy AudiCare. It's a prepaid maintenance plan for servicing the car at any Audi dealership. It doesn't matter if the car has previously been serviced elsewhere. However, there is no Audi Care package that your car currently qualifies for. The main Audi Care package has to be purchased before or at the time the 20k service is performed and covers the next 4 services. Then there is Audi Care Select, which for 2017+ models starts at the 40k miles service. Each package prepays for the next two services. There are minimum mileage requirements for buying each package. Package 1 covers the 40k and 50k services, and you can buy it once the car has at a minimum 20k miles. Either way, for the 30k service, you are on your own. Here's all the information about the different packages.

Adding a related question to an existing thread....
I bought a used 2017 A4 about 5 months ago, 32K miles. It's now at 38K and I'm starting to think about 40K service.
Two dealerships around me provide prices online when I schedule service - one is for a little over $1100, one a little over 1200, for what they label as the regular 40K service.
AudiCare Select, from the website, appears to be $879 for the 40K and 50K service.
Am I missing something?

Yes, it seems like the obvious choice - just a little too obvious. Why would anyone pay $1100 for the service when you can pay $900 instead and get the next one free? Seems like there should be a catch. Doesn't sound like it, though.
Purchased from any dealer's Service department, correct? Can I do it over the phone?
