Physical climate controls? Heck yes!

I don't see any physical climate controls there, though it's hard to tell under those two red debug *****. Not a fan of having no hood over the Virtual Cockpit (for both usability and looks) and I'm very weary of the haptic touch steering wheel but I haven't been able to try one yet so can't give much of an opinion (local VW dealer never has GTIs in stock and the one Arteon they had was a showroom model, so no test drives). Slider shift **** isn't as cool as a bigger one but that's a very mild complaint. Glad to see the volume **** returns too (as opposed to the haptic dial from the A3 and eTron GT).

Slightly above the emergency stops it has a panel that seems like it would be dedicated to the climate control. So it's not true physical buttons, but at least dedicated controls are a step up from swiping the touchscreen a la Volvo.

It appears the HVAC controls are a static bar at the bottom of the MMI touchscreen.

I was hoping for the button unit similar to the Q4 and 8Y A3. Q4 below.

That Q4 layout is so clean. Love how the MMI is interlaced beautifully with the center console as opposed to being raised over the dashboard like B9. I still like how it looks, especially the B9.5 refresh, but it would look so much better if it looked like the car was designed with it in the first place.

That's it for the interior? A box here, a square there. Where is the style and integration? This looks awful, like a 4-year old's design.
