Yeah, GEICO mechanical breakdown insurance may be a better deal. Anyone had experience with that?

OK. I'm in. I got it this morning! Quite an upgrade from my '04 Accord! Decided against the warranty. Another dealer said I could get it later if I want (though cost may be higher), we'll see how much I end up using the CPO warranty before deciding if its worth it.

If the transmission breaks,that'll cost more than $4000...

I seem to recall being quoted $4000-5000 CAD for a ~10 year, 200K km warranty. That doesn't seem that unreasonable given the cost of servicing those cars and the number of weird things like the dual-clutch transmission... (but it also made me think that leasing the car makes more sense than paying that kind of money for a warranty)
