Drive shaft carrier band
Thought I would just share some updates to the previous posts on the noise issue I've been experiencing since 20,000 miles.
So I finally got my 2017 A4 Prem+ back to the dealer to diagnose the squeaking issue from what appeared to be the passenger side. Turns out the drive shaft carrier band failed. Luckily my CPO was under warranty and apparently they need to replace the entire drive shaft? Plus they noticed my transmission cover is leaking tranny fluid and they are going to replace that as well. The car has only 57,000 miles on it. They also noticed the tires bounced up and down when on the lift with the wheels spinning. They are having me do a road force balance on the tires and we'll see what happens. I posted earlier about how my A4 felt really squirrelly on ice and snow. My loaner A4 felt confident on snow and ice. So it might possibly be the tire balancing that is the problem. Hoping to get the car back soon and praying for a snowfall to test it out.
Anything I should be concerned about or ask the dealer about?
My other issues previous was a re-flashing of the main computer module where certain things didn't work like mapping. The cruise control module failed and they replaced that. I'm really hoping all the gremlins have been excised going forward.

If your P7's are too flat spotted, they may not balance out (went through this before). As far as replacing your drive shaft - are you feeling an abnormal amount of vibration when you accelerate? I had my drive shaft replaced a little over a month ago but that's because my car shook when I crossed the 2K rpm band. After the replacement, its much better now.
