Hi all,
The emission control system indicator lights up when i just switched on the ignition without starting the engine. And it went off when i started the engine. Is this normal?

Yes, lots of lights illuminate on power on as they're being validated/tested. The time to worry is when they don't go out. Give is a good 30 seconds after startup. And there's usually an accompanying text error message in the dash when an error is detected. The pre-sense (circle/exclamation point) causes many questions as it takes the longest to go out.

Thanks. This light confused me quite a while. Still not sure what is the purpose to light up when power on only.

Thanks. I know a lot of warning indicators pops out when powered on and go away in a few seconds. But this one won't go off until you start the engine. Not sure what it is trying to tell.
