Default How do YOU close your trunks?

This may seem dumb but how do you guys close your trunks? The interior trunk handles are practically useless unless I use my full body's force. I don't like touching the paint since it has an abnormally soft clear coat and in the winter it gets really dirty. Right now I'm pushing it down on the spoiler (painted area so I prefer not to) since that's the gentlest way to close it.

I use the inside handles. It’s hard to close it properly cuz like u said, it is flawed. But I don’t like touching the paint no matter what. I guess another way would be to carefully close it by touching the curved part of the trunk lid (where the top of the trunk lid and the back (where the Audi logo is) meet). But yes. Idk if 2019 offers a powered trunk lid. I drove the latest C300 a few days ago and it had a powered trunk lid.

I usually pull down on the handle with a lot of force. I hate it. I usually just dump the stuff in the back seat when I can.

It took quite a lot of practice, but I’m able to pull down on the interior handles with just enough force that it closes and latches without slamming down too hard.

This ^. Once you get down the movement, it doesnt really take a lot of force, just need to follow through.

the A4 has abnormally soft clear coat? Even if it did (it doesn't), I don't understand how fingers affect it lol. The dirt portion I absolutely do get, which is why I use the inside handles

I use the inside handle....been doing so on each Audi sedan I've had since 2006. I guess it is just a matter of practicing a little.

I use the inside handle and then complete the motion against the spoiler with an open palm so that I touch only the thin edge.

I put my fingers on the license plate and slam it just hard enough.

I get it started with the inside handle and finish with the license plate
