How do YOU close your trunks?

Isn't a powered trunk lid available on the B9 in other markets? I'm shocked the C300 would have it now; in North America, the Germans have traditionally considered this a feature for S/A8/7 or well-equipped E/A6/5...

thanks for the replies everyone. when you close it with the interior handle, is there a technique or do you just throw it down as hard as you could? I usually take 2-3 tries since it'll just miss the hook and go back up.
the powered trunk on the c300 is part of their version of "convenience package" so i was kind of sad the a4 didnt have it

Surely pull it down with certain force. Everybody’s action/strength is different so definitely need some practices. When holding the interior handle with four fingers, palm and fore arm are facing myself and that set up the hand withdraw when the lid “slam down”.

That's what I do exactly. I don't have to pull very hard or fast with the inside handles... just get it going. Then because I'm pushing on the license plate right exactly where the force needs to be, I don't have to push very hard on that either. It's really a terrible design.

Perhaps info from the B8 can help some of you:
On the B8/8.5 the trunk springs have alternative attachment points. These can be adjusted to give more force closer to the open position or more force towards the closed position. In both my B8 and then B8.5 I have moved the spring at one side to get a balance between enough upswing force and closing force (in total 4 combinations to choose from). If you check your B9, look for a groove in the metal at the rear spring attachment point. In the B8 I could slide the spring over to the alternative position with my hand and without removing any cover. (The difference in angular momentum on the lid comes from mostly from different angle of the spring. Not so much from spring preload.)

I have a 19 I don't have a power trunk lid don't remember seeing it as an option.
I know they offer the kick thingy where you kick under the trunk to open it hands free.
