I recently purchased a 2017 A4 S-Line with the B&O sound system.

It came with no SD card. So now no radio, no sat nav or reversing camera.

When we got a new SD card it wouldn't work and it turned out I hout 5F module problem and had to have a new head unit fitted

Unortunately the guy who is supposed to program the SD card to match the head unit is off with covid so it is going back next week.

I am now able to tune and see DAB and FM radio stations, however I can't turn up the volume

I'm starting to feel like I should be able to listen to the radio without the SD card (after reading different threads)

Will I have another problem next week or do you think programming the SD card will get things working.

Hi Doyle85, can you explain yourself a bit better? MMI SD CARDS are independant from Radio, Media, Reversing Camera... Those features have nothing to do with whether or not the MMI has an SD card. If you have a basic MMI, you will need an SD card to use the browser, but never to listen to the radio or play multimedia.

I'm sorry, how do I find out which version of mmi I have.

It also says driver aids are not operational without SD card. ( I assumed that this was the reverse camera)

I can currently see the radio stations, but I cannot turn up the volume. I assumed this was due to the SD card fault

Like previously posted, the radio is not dependent on a SD card.

Maybe this guy was thinking of doing a firmware update to your MMI using a SD card.

I wonder if it's possible the OP's car has something very different from the systems offered in North America, at least...

Yes, it is a UK car imported into Northern Ireland.

The car is covered by Audi UK and is being prepared free of charge at my local Audi dealership so I'm not too worried 😉

I had to have 5F replaced on my 2022 Allroad. MMI was completely dead, no display, no radio, no BU cam, no BT connection for phone, etc. Fortunately was under warranty. This happened 3 weeks after I took delivery.

thanks, sounds similar to me.

I am covered by Audi UK because the car originally was sold by them to a middle man dealer.

I will let you know if everything goes according to plan tomorrow.
