MPG?

MPG?
I was really thrilled the past couple of days to break 36 MPG in my commute to/from work.
Economy: 36.1 mpg
Avg speed: 36 mph
Time: 0.49 h
Distance: 29.9 miles
It's about 3/4 on the highway. I think the nice weather was a contributing factor (no real need for heat or AC).
How is your fuel economy? I've been happy overall with mine, averaging 28.x mpg over the last 17k miles (and some of that is with my wife driving with her lead foot).

Winter weather I was getting high 26's.
Warmer spring/summer weather I am getting 28.
My driving is mostly suburban surface streets and congested expressways.

I don't think 26-28 mpg isn't all that bad living in Denver. With the erratic weather I either have the AC or the heater on. I have no traffic going to work but coming home I do. So I'm happy with my MPG. And I'm a mile above sea level running on Shell or Costco 91 also.

I just responded to a post on the S4 forum about Real Life MPG - https://www.audiworld.com/forums/s4-...leage-2921283/
It may be the US gallon versus the UK / Imperial gallon that is makes the difference.
In summary I am in the UK and in my S4 over my first 700 miles of ownership I have averaged 27mpg - I have seen 37mpg on a run when driving carefully. (I bought the car with 3000 miles on the clock).
