FWIW, here in Canada taillight animation is only on the top trim level (technik) and AFAIK the taillights hardware is not the same as the lower trims hence the animation cannot be enabled on the lower trim level models. OBDeleven notes that also. I dont think you have confirmed SFD protection for my24. I'l wait to hear from other '24 owners or my own to arrive before reaching a conclusion!

Ah i see. But it is not the case in here. Both “S-Line” and “Advanced” trim cars has the Animation ability since 2020. At least this has been the case until now.

But as i said OBD Eleven app detects SFD protection when i try certain adaptations and asking me for permission to unlock. May be it is just a software bug. We’ll see.

@Jacky07 Just curios, how exactly does the app detect SFP, does it report SFPm or are you just seeing a request for the security code for a particular module?

A message pops up when i try to change in certain adaptations. Asking my permission to unlock SFD. Then its gets stuck in unlocking - writing process.

Well the OBD team informed me about the situation. They told me that this was the first time they had faced such a car like mine.

So , engineers working on it. I will update the topic when I get information.

Really stupid question - but -- you have the hood/bonnet open on the car when you try to write the changes, correct?

Yeah and the car in acc mode. I even had an outside expert coder try it and they were saying that SFD 2 needs to be unlocked and since there are a lot of new things for 24, they need to unlock this SFD before we can code our cars
