I love how the Toyota Celica hasn't been produced since 2006 yet it still makes the chart.

That's some interesting stats, not just the rude drivers, but who causes most of the accidents and speeding tickets. Kinda interesting to see it's not the people with the really fast performance cars. Not sure if they roped the M4 into the 4-series bucket or the S/RS5 into the A5 bucket, but the list is suspiciously absent of cars that a lot of people happily scorn and point fingers at. Such as Porsches, AMGs, Ferraris, Lambos etc. Seems the folks with truly fast cars are those who know what they are doing. Instead it's the folks bumbling around in their Priuses etc. and ricers in their WRXs. I think I'm reading these stats correctly. They are normalized for each car such as almost 60% of all BMW 4-series drivers are rude drivers, so this is independent of how rare or common a certain car is. Based on how many people feel towards performance cars these days, one would expect that a large percentage of drivers of these cars would show up here, but they don't. As I've always said, the people who drive fast generally concentrate more and pay attention. The real issue are the distracted and young drivers in many of the common and boring cars that are not built to handle speed for example.

A friend sent me the article earlier today. I drive a /15 A6 3.0T and my wife drives an /18 A4 Quattro PP w/sport package. I'm waiting for the right moment to share the article with her. I didn't do a deep dive into the article to look for how the data was analyzed (looks like superswiss may have) and until I read the article thoroughly and give this some further thought I'll reserve judgment on the methodology and the results.
What I found the most enjoyable about the article when I read it earlier today were the comments. Take a look at those if you haven't already -- many of the views expressed make for very entertaining reading.
Best,
Jeff

The lists are generated from data people enter at Insurify, a site to compare car insurance offers. I suspect not a lot of Porsche, Ferrari, etc., owners are typing personal information plus "information such as where they live and their driving history, including past accidents and moving violations." on a web site to save a few bucks by comparing esurance vs. Geico. Their "database" only contains info from about 1% of US drivers

Looks like this study is only looking at passenger vechicles.
Out on the roads, I observe instead mostly commercial trucks, semi's, and pick up trucks that exhibit wreckless and negligent driving. Sign of the times I guess.

If it excludes commercial vehicles, it probably also excludes pickups which are all classified as commercial vehicles in most states.
