You're right about spec-ing everything out; I suggest double/triple checking too. I had actually placed an order for the 'quattro' version of the these lights by mistake from a different source. Luckily they were out of stock and they canceled my order.

I'm quoting myself here, but I would hate to spend another $350 - $400. on a OEM set of 4 lights. Would it look tacky if I kept one of my current sets for the rear and got one set of OEM for the front?

Like the others said, that is the right amount of red. Wrap the chrome in red and it'll be too much red. The only thing I can think of instead of wrapping the chrome in red is to paint the red Quattro lettering in silver. That is, only if you feel the need to paint or make a change. I'd say leave it as is.

ditching is as soon as i get my rs4 grill. i hate ny being a two plate state. totally kills the front end of most cars.

I agree plus the way you have it on there looks really crooked and rigged up.
