Koni Shocks Update
Hey all,
If you remember, I'm the guy that had the stock suspension, which was awful because the car rocked back and forth like an old Buick.
Anyway, a few months ago I had Koni shocks installed to reduce the body roll, but they were set to full tightness (they are adjustable) which made the ride too harsh.
More recently I had the Koni's loosened all the way. The ride is definitely the best yet, with body roll kept to a minimum and ride roughness reduced. But as it turns out, the ride is still a touch rough for me. Going over moderate rough terrain is still a little jarring.
So, I'm going to replace them with Bilstein shocks. I'm having the 'Heavy Duty' versions, which are made for cars without lowering springs. They provide a smoother ride than the Koni's according to Eric at Supreme Power Parts.
My idea from the beginning was to achieve a smooth ride without the nauseating rolling of the Cabriolet's standard suspension. I say Cabriolet because Audi's other models exhibit far less body roll. I'm keeping the standard springs for now.
The Bilstein's will be installed in early December. I'll post a follow-up.

I heard Eibach is currently developping specific coilovers for the cab
I was told that you can adjust the height, don't know about adjustable stiffness.
You might want to check with Eibach.
Price is around $1,200 /kit.
I'm waiting for more info as well,
Eric
