I think you'll be disappointed...
- mods are WAY expensive - even more than Audi
- In that category, you'll never be ahead of the curve - too many idiots with more money than you
-interior is cheap looking compared to Audi
- it's a fun car though... if you want to style in a smaller, more nimble roadster it's not a bad choice - not as unique as your previous car though.
My $0.02

only problem is - i'll never have enough money to be ahead of the curve - there are A S#IT load of idiots with more money than me.
man - check out the options for the boxer - you can bring a non-S to over 60k...
hmmm - it does look nice though

if you have the csh i would get it, your going to look goofy though you tall freak.
i love the new boxster, but maybe wait for the Cayman coupe to come out, alittle more, but better looks and performance for a boxster.

i have never driven an s4 cab, but judging off my 3.0 (i know a huge difference) i would think the weigt alone would be a huge problem when it comes to throwing the beastly 4.2L engine around the twisties. Straghtline i am sure it is great, but the Boxster handles so well the driving experience is much pleasurable too me, and i am sure the new boxster is just that much better. I have driven and ridden in my friends boxster so i do know how it reacts, etc. BTW your s4 cab looks awesome with your mods done too it and i would more than happily take that car off your hands =D But then again, i am leaning against any type of convertable towards my next car so i guess i am being a bit pessimistic.

I love having a convertable.. and wanted all-wheel drive here in Chicago.. it was ..
either this or the 911 C4S or Turbo. I do not like the look of the 911's as much, and my best friend has a turbo if I ever wanted to drive one. Also the turbo cab is around 130-140k. Even 2-3 years old its still 90 or so..
I have driven both the boxter and the S4 cab. I like the S4 alot more. Handleing is great on it. With the coilover kit the S4 handles fantastic Going 150 around curves I would not even want to try at 120 in a boxter.
And in rain or snow there is no comparison
I guess it is what you are looking for. I wanted convertable, all-wheel drive, Tiptronic or Auto.
I drove the 645ci as well which is a nice car and the CLK55 Cab. But they do not compare to the S4

So... coilovers are the trick? I've been toying with an S4 for the garage, but the
handling on the A4 Cab is so atrocious, it's hard to believe that the S4 could ever be a decent handler - even with the CO kit.
