2.0T & 3.0T Differences

I doubt that will happen. The A6 is has to compete with other brands in the mid-size luxury class and the 2.0T only wouldn't keep up with the competition. Now, it is possible that Audi might eventually drop the 3.0T in favor of only the TDI as diesel becomes more popular in NA.

There are many for whom (legitimately) a 4-banger just doesn't cut it as a luxury ride. Especially when more than just the driver is on board, a 6 cylinder is what Americans typically look for in a car in this class. I drive 95+% of the time alone, so I am likely to stick with the 2.0 if I do get a 2106 A6 when my lease is up.

I'd have to agree with OP's observation about the 3.0T having super spongy brakes. I had one as a loaner while my TDI was being serviced and indeed, the brakes were super unpredictable and the pedal felt spongy with really odd engagement behavior...

I wonder if there is a difference with "Pre-Sense Plus"? My brakes are easily modulated and could be construed as "spongy" but yesterday the system armed and I touched the brakes normally and it was a totally different feeling, the car almost did an emergency stop with just the normal pressure applied.
I therefore think that they are intentionally "relaxed" for normal driving and may increase in sensitivity during perceived critical situations.

It only seems that way because I am always on here complaining about something. My current lease term is Dec. '12 thru Dec. '15. Before that I had a 3-year lease on a '10 A6.
