A6 redesign next year?
#14
I have to say that I prefer the present incarnation, except for a few minor things.
The rear end looks like it's getting the same treatment as the A4, with a narrowing of the trailing outside edges on top, and the front looks more 'slabbed', as opposed to 'sculpted'. While the rear end looks more designed, and seems to eliminate that stupid overhang that's there now, overall, I find the present car nicer to look at.
I'm also not a huge fan of the squinty-eyed look. The indenting on the lower doors looks to likely increase side crash protections, although I wonder as long as you're doing that, why not add a vent for the rear brakes, but that's niggling, and would be more appropriate on something like the R8.

I had a 2017 A4 loaner today. I was very impressed. I had 2009 and 2012 A4 sports package leases. I don't think the sports package is needed on the 2017.
Nice to enjoy the comfort of the A6. Looking forward to the C8 but my lease is over in March. Perhaps too early.
Hyundai just opened across the street from work :-) Chevy has a 2-page ad in R&T for the 2018 Equinox with more amazing tech included than anyone else. The world is moving fast. The German car de-content game is over.

To add to the list of benefits of purchasing final year model....the dealers are damn near giving them away to make room for the new model years. Rape them for all you can because they WILL NOT hesitate doing it to you.

To me it doesn't make much sense to buy a brand new car in it's last year unless it's some sort of classic.
The first year model bugs/issues really are not much of an issue when you're covered under warranty...why spend nearly as much for an outdated look when you can get the new model next year?
