audio problem

Default audio problem
Before I head to the dealer......today the audio in our 2012 A6 (Bose system) became garbled and then quit for both the radio and media. Any one have any experience with this?

Had similar problem- crackling sound as if there was a short circuit and audio kept cutting in and out- 1 week ago. After 1 hr of driving, I stopped and when I put the car in Park, Nav screen closed on its own and then came back out, I guess the system reset itself. No problem since then. I have a 2012 A6, 3.0, Prestige with 17000 miles.
