I am strongly considering an A6 order of Dakota Gray with Black interior with fine grain ash. I would like to hear your thoughts or if you own it, your pics.

I really like the color, and I can't order the beige interior because I have small kids that will ride in the back. Not really a fan of the Nougat.

Thoughts?

I just purchased a 2012 A6 in Dakota Gray with Black/Walnut interior. I really was looking for the Oolong, but once I saw the Dakota in person it was a done deal. It really captures the surrounding color in a subtle way. I describe it as "earthy."

I considered the black but it was awfully dark inside the cabin and like you I could not go with the light seat as my grand kids would trash it. I went with the Brown/Nougat and it actually looks better than I thought! The contrast with the ash and the black give the interior a more luxurious look. The black on black gave a more sporty look in my opinion.

I went with Oolong Gray, BLack Leather, Black Headliner, Fine Grain Ash Inlays. (I would have gone nougat if we had not found my combo) I like both. I don't find the black too dark personally. It makes the whole inside pop more than the gray headliner in my opinion...
