Planning to buy an A6L (China edition)
Hi,
So I'm planning to buy a new A6L (long-wheelbase Chinese version) and wanted some advice about which engine to choose. The options on sale are:
2.0TFSI R4
132kW@4,000-6,000 rpm; 320Nm@1,500-3,900rpm
2.5FSI V6
140kW@5,500-6,500 rpm; 250Nm@3,000-4,750rpm
2.8FSI V6
162kW@5,750-6,500 rpm; 280Nm@3,000-5,000rpm
All models are FWD with a Multitronic gearbox. The car will remain stock.
I'm leaning towards the turbo since it offers the best mpgs and because of the torque. I do most of my driving in city areas.
Opinions appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on your driving style. The 2.8 will likely be faster, but the 2.0T will be more satisfying in everyday normal driving, due to the torque that you've mentioned.

Thanks for the comments. Looks like the TFSI is the way to go. I'll be placing my order early next month (impala beige exterior, nougat brown interior) and will post pics when it gets delivered.
