I have a call into the dealer. Curious if anyone else has had the same service quoted. There are hundreds of similar threads on this forum in comparing dealer costs.

Resetting the adaptations should take about an hour of labor at max so I would figure around $100-$140. If the transmission needs an update that should run around $250. At least that's what we charge at the shop I work at.

With VCDS I've tried resetting the transmission adaptations myself. I noticed the jerky shifting pattern was better at first, but over time it returned. I would really like an option to turn off the adaptation entirely and just give me a constant predictable shifting pattern.
