Default Vibration in Seat while in low RPM's

Hey guys. I am a home mechanic and help out friends with their cars. Anyways I have this audi I am working on. 2013 A6 Prestige 3.0T. and has 93k miles. It has this annoying vibration in the lower RPM under 1k, and typically its when slowing down and the car is downshifting, but its a significant vibration in your seat.
Originally diagnosed it to motor mounts, replaced the passenger mount and couldn't replace the drivers mount because of the oil cooler (at least I think thats what it is) and don't have the proper tools/knowledge of this car to remove it. Most likely whats going to happen is he will have to take it to the dealer to officially diagnose.

The passenger mount I replaced helped with some of the vibration, but its still there. Moving forward going to replaced the drivers mount and possibly the transmission mount. Just worried its not going to fix it. No check engine lights either. Other thoughts were driveline? Torque converter? I can't put my finger on it. Any thoughts?

My unqualified opinion is that it's the motor mount that did not get replaced. Good luck sir!

If the vibration changes when downshifting, think engine and tranny. If it is speed dependent, check U joints and driveshaft center bearing.

I have the same problem. 2012 A6 Prestige with 100K miles. Just found out both motor mounts need to be replaced to the tune of $1,900!

If that's a dealer price do yourself a favor and go get an estimate from a qualified independent shop.

I second this idea. I would be VERY interested to see if this resolves the issue. Also, which motor mounts are they trying to replace? I think there are 4, but you seem to imply only 2 are being changed.

It should resolve the issues. I'm facing the same thing, have the same vibration that is mentioned. Planning to tackle the issue over a weekend and some point during the winter or early spring.

It's your motor mounts. Motor mounts plus the trans mount should all be replaced at the same time -- this is outlined in the service manual as well.

All three can be purchased for ~$500 @ ECS Tuning.
