Oil problems?
So I have a A6 premium plus 2021 3.0 liters.Yesterday the light of putting 1 quart and 1/4 came out .The car is brand new with only(one the second year) 9058 miles on it ...it's a lease.And another question is the type of oil they suggest; on the hood they suggest 0W-20...but if you go online they suggest regular gasoline engines to use 5w40 and if you don't have you can use the 30 one.The nhtsa.org...also says 0w20.So which one is it ? And so is it good to use the euro car oil or that's just a marketing tool of the brands.I used Castrol like they recommend on their brochure and online.
Sorry for ranting ...but yeah what do you guys think I have to fill her up ...brand new car .Should I go to the dealer ? Im gonna fill it ...to see what kind of behavior the car will have after. It also smells like a weed/very metal like smell , 2 days after I got the fill her up message

Have you had any service done with this vehicle ? If you are having these problems so soon it’s best to have documentation in case something goes awry. Also as stated what’s on the oil cap is what should be used.

Sorry but 2021 and 9000 miles is not brand new and the car is due an oil service if it has not had one yet, may be new to you but that means nothing as you have no knowledge of what the PO did with the car. Anyway a quart after 9000 miles is not unreasonable. Audi allows for a pint per 1000 miles as being reasonable consumption above which they will not investigate what might be regarded as excessive oil consumption. There seems to be a lot of secrecy about oil grades on the C8, in the UK Audi do not say what grade to use and tell you to go to the dealer. I believe the correct grade is 0w/20 fully synthetic, but the key thing to look for is if it is VW approved 507:00. If you just add a quart of something that may not be precisely right, ie 5w/30, you will be fine as long as it is fully synthetic.
If the car is new to you then go back to the dealer and explain you are not happy about adding oil so soon after buying the car and ask if all the pre-delivery was done. Also check if it has had its 12 month 9000 mile service (which is really not much more than an oil change anyway.

be very careful. THE STICKER under the hood is the only thing that matters. it supersedes the manual.
0w20 oil with the VW508 certification is the only oil you can put in if you still want to keep a warranty.
the vw508 cert includes a green die. Audi will know if you put in something else.
the care requires an full oil change at 1 year or 10,000 miles...so don't just "fill it"
