Start/Stop Button Replacement
new to me 2019 A6 (C8) 55 S-Line -- I purchased the red start/stop button from Europrice and have gotten all the way to removal of the old button (not quite so simple as in the C7) but cannot seem to dislodge it. Do I push down on it? or press up from the bottom? Do I need to turn it? thanks in advance for any help.

start/Stop Switch Replacement
figured it out one needs to remove the entire center console including the bottom climate control MMI screen (this is relatively straightforward removal (gear shift, side bolsters a few screws and electrical connections and the antenna connection on the center console) as its a single piece) and (very) carefully place on a work space upside down and remove the row that has the start/stop switch from the center console but removing the two (or so) screws holding it to the console -- unplug the switch from the bottom and the with row should drop down allowing access to the switch you should be able to prise it out there are three tabs (which you can see on the replacement) that need to be released. after iI sorted it the biggest concern was not scratching or breaking the MMI screen --- replacement is opposite.
