Would really like to get that RS6 grill in my 2.7T. Even admire the S6 one, although I think I remember reading this wasn't possible(?).

What's possible for this model year? What has everyone else done? Any pics avail?

The RS6 and S6 grill will only fit the 4.2 for plug-n-play. I have heard that the S6 or RS6 grille can be adapted to fit the facelifted A6 2.7T (2002 and later), but I have never seen anyone post a pic to confirm that it can be done.

From the description in Stoney's links, the backing of the lower edge has to be trimmed, and the grill has to be glued into place.

The shape of the opening for the 2001 is different, and will not accept the RS6 or S6. Kamei makes a mesh grill, which can be painted to match the car or comes in black.

I think this is the BEST grille I have seen on a narrow body pre-facelift A6. Well done J-SIN 2.7T!!! Now you just have to find a way to do the lowers to match!

My route was to sell my 2001 2.7T and buy a 2002 4.2, THEN I got the S6 grilles ))
