I get this growling engine noise at the start of the car for about 2-3 seconds after I park the car more than 12 hours.
Is this normal? Dealer says the it is the sounds of engine oil boiling but didn't make sense. I have 3.0 with 4000 miles but it had the noise since I bought the new car.

Please help!!

does it stumble a little too?...mine does that and i had an indy look at it...everything on mine ok

The sounds of engine oil boiling??

After being parked for 12 hours?

Someone tell me what boiling engine oil sounds like when the engine is on, and the oil is boiling behind alluminum, iron and steel.

You may have bigger problems if the guys who fixed your car are saying this.

so the chain makes a bit of noise until the oil pressure builds. That's what the dealership said about my wife's 3.0. More like a little grumble than a growl though. Like my wife in the morning.
