2.7 and 4.2, smoothness and torque.
I'm scheduled to pick up my A6 2.7 in a few days, I'm considering possibly changing it for the 4.2 for the sole fact that I'm assuming that the 4.2 V8 is inherently smoother than the 2.7.
I do like the fact though that the 2.7's torque comes on strong at very low rpm.
If you actually have driven both please let me know how the two compare in these areas.
The dealers near me are out of 4.2's now so I can't test drive it.
