Hello

I've recently bought a 2000 A6 Avant(4B).
This car was imported from Germany to Norway i 2004 and i'm the third owner.

In front of my gear stick(6-spd manual) there are 2 buttons(between the stick and the ash tray).
These light up when u switch them on, but nothing happens.
I can't imagine these being original from audi.

Does anybody have any idea what these are for?
I've run out of ideas..

Here you see them. They light up as long as the ignition is on.

Definitely an aftermarket fitment. Could they be for seat heaters, done by the owner bringing it into Norway?

I've tried to drive with the buttons on and my *** didn't get warm :/But i will check for that again since winter just arrived.
There's also no fuse for the seat heaters.

The car has RNS-D navi plus, tv tuner, built in telephone(for some old nokia), bose stereo.

It's not for disabling the GALA signal to the RNS-D unit(for watching tv on the move), checked that last night.
I cant see any reason for these being for the phone system.

Investigated some more. Turns out that i have heated seats. Took of the cover surrounding the gear stick and looked around.
There are 3 wires pr swtich and under the seats the same wires are.

The connections between the wire and switches was really poor, thats why they haven't worked before. Now they work
