hey whats up man
yeah i am a new owner to i have like 3 months with my a6, what i can tell you in my experience is i have done a tune up and had a problem with the car heating up and it was the 2 waterpumps (electical and mechanical) here they were like 280 dlls each one, also they checked the radiator change the timing belt ooo yeah and also had ussues with the fuel injectors misfireing i had to repleace 2 of them for new ones and the other 4 were rebuild right now my car is running great
i just took it to get wheels align and balances and told me i need to get new brakes so thats on my to do list and recently my check engine light when one went to check it and its the catalyzer converter, wich in mexico there is really no problem becuase they dont do smog test but that dam light is killing me i dont want it one but my mechanic told me its like 400dlls for a new one so i am thinking about it do you know a way arround this?
i am seeing that there is really not much support for us new audi owners i posted something and nobody posted anything

2.7 is a solid car. The important things to watch for are:
1. timing belt including water pump, t-stat and all rollers, every 75k. if you did a water pump already, someone was an idiot/
2. its a turbo, and they are small and delicate. treat them well. depending on your climate, 5w40 --> 15w50 every 5k-7500 miles. Easy when cold, cool down after hard runs.
3. Is it an auto? service the tranny and be careful
4. control arms fail far too often. Live with it.
Many things are fairly easy DIY jobs if you have space and tools. Lots of people will help you, btu you need to ask clear questions. "what to do" is kinda open ended.
My best advice is read this and other forum, and read the technical articles here and elsewhere.

The mini-cat-cel-fix middle one ... the post-cat O2 is checking and compare its data with data of pre-cat O2.
The fuel/air mix is controlled by pre-cat O2.
This is to assume the CAT is healthy and a bit off the tight and sensitive spec of the Audi ECU threshold.
As a matter of fact there is Audi TSB re flashing the ECU to the update software to stop this tight threshold of ECU causing CEL. But this TSB is not for all Audi so dealer won't do it if the VIN isn't in list.
You can view the TSB here (Allroad A6 2.7)
