Default 2002 A6 Auto Shift ****

I have read many posts. Many of them are old. so now that it is 2004, I am wondering if there are any "good" ways to get a nice matching burl wood shifter **** for my automatic? What do you think would happen if I went to my Audi dealer for options?

Default I have not had much success with dealers helping with anything but stock. Some

of the others have though, so it probably depends on how progressive your dealer is.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the Audi website and noticed that the 2003 Allroad has a wood auto shifter. I think I might try to convince the dealer to install one for me...

Default I should have better qualifed 'stock'. If they sell it, you'll have much better luck. If it's a

dealer add on for another model and will fit yours, I'm sure they will be more than willing to help you.
Give your post a little time as some others will respond later, I'm sure.

Default Drove an '04 allroad 4.2 on Friday and it had

a very nice burl shift **** instead of the leather one like that found in my 2.7T. I imagine it's a direct swap. Hope this helps.

Default Take a look at Clairparts. They have one for <$160.

Wow - What a website!
Nice full selection of accessories for an Audi.
Thanks for the tip.
The shift **** in Clair Parts is darker than the rest of my interior though (I think), but I can see that I'll be spending more time looking through their selection of goodies.
I think I'll talk to my dealer about the Allroad shifter ****...
