Default 4.2 Lease... is this a good deal?

I'm presently getting ready to end my 98A6Q lease and checked into leasing a '01 4.2 with present incentives. The MSRP was 53,430 and selling price 49,100 - the monthly lease with tax was 773.70 with annual 15K...total due at inception is 128.50. If I wait for a '02 2.7T as I thought I would, the lease was quoted close to 700/month when optioned similarly..seems like the '01 4.2 was a good way to go...I need help!

Default I'd take an '01 4.2 over an '02 2.7T any day!

$128.50 due at inception? Was that a typo? Sounds pretty decent to me...

Re: 4.2 Lease... is this a good deal? It is. I've got a 2000 4.2 sport.

Re: I'd recommend you wait for the '02's. The improvements will be worth it.

I know people will bash me after I post this, but I leased a 2001 A6 4.2 with the premium package and the 17 rims. The MSRP was something like $52,450. I got them down to $47,500 which is around $731 over invoice. I paid the taxes up front and the first month's payment. The res. was 54% and the money factor was .00153. My lease payment is $607.85. I think you can do much, much better then what you are being offered.

Not without laying down a lot of upfront money assuming a 36 mos. lease.

What is your money factor? Res.? The MF must be high. What state are you in?
