Which A6 2.7TQ to buy ?
I drove the A6 2.7TQ with tiptronic and really liked it.
1.What is the 6-speed like ?
2.Does this car retain better resale value with tiptronic ?
3.Audi numbers claim only a 0.1 second faster accelration with the 6-speed. Is this understated or close to reality ?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Depends on you...test drive the 6-speed...
You really need to test drive both cars to tell a difference. If you enjoy driving a manual then you should of course go for the 6-speed. If you are going to modify your 2.7T then definetly go for the manual because the tip is pretty weak.
I would think that the 6-speed would retain more value because it is much more unique than the tip. Dealers sell more tips so its harder to find a used 6-speed therefore making your car more in demand.
I difference is noticable in power but it takes practice to drive the manual well enough to be faster than the tip.
hope this helps

Tip has better resale; but I prefer 6-spd
Resale is always a function of demand... the more popular car has more demand. More people want tips, thus better resale.
Of course, I think the 6-spd is a far better car...
Just my humble opinion. How long do you plan
to keep it?

Re: The Tip can't handle a lot of power upgrades - expound please
I am wrestling with the also. I don't think the TIP tranny can handle 375ft-lbs of torque either. But no one (including yourself) seems to have any real info.
Could you expound upon this a little?
If I can't pass 375ft-lbs through the tranny, how much can I pass?
