Yes, that ABS module is used in many VAG vehicles and needs to be coded to each vehicle.

The failure rate on this part has to be near 80%.

SOLVED

Thanks for responses guys! The problem was ABS module which I replaced and coded tonight. FYI I got a use ABS module from LKQ for 14$ so definitely worth checking there. We'll see how long this used module is working but right now it's all good.

Glad to hear you fixed it. Mine's been acting up, and I know the left front wheel sensor has no signal. It's not the bolted-down type, but the older clip type. I haven't figure out how to remove it yet.
