The original grille scares me :-)

ALmost!! Use grilling mesh like your sig pic and elongate it alittle.

Default Sorry, it's awful....

... The new grill was reduced in width, so splitting and rounding it out like that makes it look too small and just plain strange.

Forcing the new grill too look like the old one is inappropriate; with the exception of painting the license plate strip the body color. I suspect that will be a popular mod, like painted lowers.

Default well, i can see where he's coming from w/ painting that strip in between the grills

it honestly would not shock me one bit if it was brought over to the US market that way...notice how US spec A6's have always had less of that matte finish on the bottom part of the car compared to other sections of the world, and how for the B6 S4 they painted the door trim strips instead of leaving them in the matte finish...my 2c
