Default Air bag question

I have a three spoke air bag from a 1998 A4. P/N 8D0 880 201H. Is this a plug and play air bag for my car? I have a steering wheel from a 2001 S4 to go along with the new air bag.

My car 2001 A6 Avant, no steering wheel controls.

Default From EKTA, that P/N fits the sport wheel, either '98 or '01. The non-sport wheel P/N is 4D0 880 201

So, if you have the matching sport wheel for the air bad, it should be a "plug 'n play".

Default Should be no problem if your car has no multifunction, but...

the airbag connector might be different. I will check the self-canceling ring (where the airbag plug into in the steering column) to see if the one that came stock with the 2001 2.8 Avant is compatible with the airbag you listed.

ETKA is at home, so I can only check later tonight.

Default should be. As long as you have this yellow connector coming from the airbag....

Default I don't think i have that yellow connector...

The connector on my air bag does not have the purple retaining clip. Will the air bag still work if I swap with that housing and how would I get the pins out?

Default No luck. The connectors look the same but...

they don't fit. The holes on my air bag connector are bigger than the ones on the A4 airbag. Would the bag still work if I swapped connectors.
